Certificate of a Marriage solomized by Lem Norton: "... Mr. Roger Merrithew of Vinalhaven to Mis Hannah Coombes of Islesborough... Birth of seven children recorded in Vital Records of Islesboro, Maine.

[1884] "Oct. 3, Roger Merrithew, aged 89 years. Mr. Merrithew was born in North Haven, [Maine] and when a boy he enlisted in the War of 1812 and served about two years.
