Biography

Came to Oregon with his family's wagon train in 1847; after 1868 he was a Southern Methodist circuit riding preacher in Oregon and Washington. He attended the general conference in Baltimore in 1888 as an elected delegate.

Chief cause of death was a gastric ulcer.
