Husband of Eleanor Davis Miller and Eleanor Jane Miller
Nov. 8, 1773 - owned land on Upton's Creek, about 3 miles from the Savannah River, Wilkes Co., Ga.
When the Indian cession of 1783 opened up the new county of Washington to the west of Wilkes, the Millers moved.
Greene County was formed from Washington, and then Hancock was formed from Greene in 1793.
Greene Co., Ga. - Misc. records , BK 2 - 1794-1810, Wills, p40, inv. and appr. - est. of Alexander Miller, 1789. Citation given to John Barron and Ellinor Barron, his wife, late relict of Alexander Miller, dec'd. Ltrs. gtd. 1789. Among purchasers were; William Miller and Anderson Comer, etc.
Hancock Co., DB G, p 117-118, 1804, between the heirs of Alexander Miller, namely; Brice Miller, Gideon Bond, John Bond, and Anderson Comer, adm. est. of Samuel Barron, dec'd, for Jane Barron, relict of said Barron to William Bevins, 287 1/2 acres on Town and Denises Creek, Oconee River. Yld. Alexander Miller 1791 by Gov. of Ga.
