Barbara was born January 1 1750 and is the daughter of John Miller and Magdalena Lehman. She died about 1804.

She Jacob Hochstetler, 3rd generation in the family of Jacob Hochstetler, Meyersdale, Somerset, Pennsylvania, United States at death; was born about 1752, near Hamburg, Pennsylvania. There is no record of any will, nor did his estate pass through court.

May 17, 1813, he sold two farms to his son John and it is likely that he did not live long after. He appears on the tax list of Brothers Valley Township in what is now Somerset County, Pennsylvania, in 1779. He married Barbara Miller, daughter of John Miller.

They had the following children:

3. Peter Hochstetler
4. Catherine Hochstetler^[1]
