Biography

Dr. Albert Miller was born : 7 Apr 1831, in Covert, Seneca County, New York, USA. He was the son of Ezekiel Miller and Polly Hogaboom Miller. ^[1]

Dr. Miller attended Syracuse Medical College (now the State University of New York Upstate Medical University). He married fellow medical school student Mary Edwards Walker ^[2] on November 16, 1855, shortly before she turned 23.

They set up a joint practice in Rome, New York. However the practice did not flourish, as female physicians were generally not trusted or respected at that time.^[3]

They later divorced, on account of Miller's infidelity. ^[4]

He then married Dr. Vesta Delphene Freeman Miller (1844–1908) ^[5]

Dr. Albert Miller died 21 Apr 1913 in East Orleans, Barnstable, Massachusetts, United States. BURIAL was at Needham Cemetery, Needham, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. ^[6]
