Elizabeth had been shown as a daughter of Daniel Miller without sources on either profile. Quality sources do not show her last name. Daniel Miller has been detached as her father.
The only potentially credible source that her surname was Miller comes from an U.S., Sons of the American Revolution Membership Applications, 1889-1970,[1] but even that could be based on family lore. This application lists her birth place as Needham Market, which is in Suffolk, not Norfolk, England.
There is no connection to Norfolk. This myth has been perpetuated by a birth record from Norfolk, England showing a Samuel ALDRIDGE and an Elizabeth. However, upon closer inspection, the record is from 1749 in England.[2] It seems that family trees and unsourced marriage records, etc, have added Norfolk to Needham Market. No such place exists, nor did it ever.
All sources used to reference Samuel Eldred's wife refer to her as Elizabeth, with no surname. [3][4]
Elizabeth married Samuel Eldred about 1642 in Cambridge, Massachusetts Bay.[4]
She did not marry Samuel Eldred in England, His father's will, dated 1640, states that his son Samuel was to be given 75 pounds when he turned 18. Since Samuel Eldred was in the colonies by 1641,[5] it easily be can be assumed they married in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Also the US and International Marriage Records source is not a reliable one because its information is - in part - based on family histories and trees, rather than vital records.
