Biography
George Mitchell was born in Appalachia, in Alabama.
When George Pinkney Mitchell was born on May 22, 1858, in Alabama, his father, David, was 23 and his mother, Rebecca, was 17.[1] He married Catherine N 'Lucy' Haynes in 1894.[2] He died on August 13, 1925, in Cullman, Alabama,[3] at the age of 67, and was buried in Holly Pond, Alabama.[4]
