Lawrence Mitchell was born 13 November 1905 in Burnham, Maine, he was the son of Charles Frank Mitchell and Alice Mae Wyman.

Lawrence married Christine Cunningham 3 July 1926 in Burnham, Maine. ^[1] They had four children:

3. Cloyd Laurence Mitchell 1931-1935
4. Joyce Elaine Mitchell Grant 1932-

Lawrence and Christine retired to Florida in 1962. He passed away 13 April 1982 in Pasco County, Florida^[2] and was buried in his family cemetery plot in Kittery, Maine. ^[3]
