Idabell B. Mohler, 74, Brainerd, died Saturday, May 19, 2001, at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
She was born March 4, 1927, in Brainerd to John H. and Hattie Mae (Holbrook) Mohler. She graduated from Washington High School in 1944. She began her bookkeeping career in 1944 at the former Eldredge Chrysler-Dodge Dealership in Brainerd which was later renamed Woods Chrysler/Dodge and then Tanner Motors. She retired in 1992. After her retirement, she worked as a part time bookkeeper and was active in researching the Mohler/Holbrook family genealogies. She was a member of Park United Methodist Church, Alpha Chapter 23 of the Eastern Star, Florence Rebecca Lodge, VFW Auxiliary and was secretary of the Masonic Temple Association and the Shrine Auxiliary.
Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Carlson, Brainerd; and several nieces and nephews including John Mohler, Nisswa, and Debbie Greig, Motley.
Her parents, and four brothers, Ralph, Arthur, Herbert and Robert Mohler, died earlier.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Park United Methodist Church with Pastor Rory Swenson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd. Memorials are preferred to the Scleroderma Foundation and the American Heart Association.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd with an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m. and an hour before services Thursday at the church.
