SUSAN MOORS, b. 10 May 1796 daughter of Abraham and Susanna (Stevens) Mooar Abraham Moor and Susanna Stephens;[1] d. at Peterborough, 2 Jun 1821;[2] m. at Wakefield, NH, 9 Apr 1818,[3] JOHN PUFFER, b. 13 Mar 1791 son of Elijah and Elizabeth (Jackson) Puffer;[4] John d. at Madison, IN, 7 Feb 1862.[5] John married second Mary Wood.
Susan and John resided in Peterborough and were parents of one known child. After Susan’s death, John remarried and had daughter Susan with his second wife Mary Wood. John relocated to New York and then Madison, Indiana after his second marriage.[6]
i JOHN PUFFER, b. at Peterborough, Jun 1821; d. at Utica, NY, 1871; m. 1st before 1859, JANE WOOD, b. 22 Aug 1825 daughter of Ezra and Susanna (Wilcocks) Wood;[7] Jane d. at Madison, IN, 10 Oct 1863. John m. 2nd JANE MARIA S. who has not been identified, but born in NY, 1827; Jane d. at Utica, 10 Oct 1909. In his will written 12 February 1871, John Puffer of Utica directed that his property be divided equally among his wife Jane Maria S. Puffer, daughter Hattie Alice Puffer, and daughter Jennie Mariah Puffer. He also directs that any property that had been the property of his first wife Jane Wood deceased should go to daughter Hattie Alice.[8]
