Birgitta married Thomas Patrick Farmer (born on 10 May 1883; son of Thomas Farmer and Margaret Anastasia Dunn). Their children were:

- Thomas Moran Farmer (1921–2004)
- Kathleen Patricia Farmer (1924–2014)
