Biography

Elizabeth Morgan^[1][2][3] was born on 26 June 1796 in Monongalia County, Virginia, the youngest of fourteen children and six daughters of Morgan Morgan and Mary Prickett Morgan.

On 29 September 1817, when she was twenty-one, she married Charles Martin in Monongalia County.^[4]

She bore him four known children.^[5]

Elizabeth Martin appears in the 1880 United States Federal Census as the 85-year-old widowed mother-in-law of a 55-year-old harness maker, with whose family she is living.
