Abijah Morse was born in Sherborn, Massachusetts in 1716, son of Samuel Morse and Mary. [1]
Note: He was not the son of Samuel Morse II (1687-1735) and Mary (Lovewell) Morse (1695-1787). They lived in Needham/Natick, not Sherborn, and did not have a son named Abijah. Also, as shown on that profile, there was no room for him. They had a child born Aug 23 1715 and the next Jun 7 1717. The Morses are tricky. By now there were 4 generations of them living the general area.
His first marriage was toLydia Fairbanke in 1751 in Sherborn, Massachusetts. [2]
Massachusetts Town Clerk and Town Records [3] "Abijah Morse of Uxbridge and Lydia Fairbanks of Sherborne were married Oct. 10, 1751 by Rev. Samuel Porter." Some of the marriage records show Sherborne as location and some show Uxbridge as location. Lydia's last name is usually shown as Fairbanke, with this exception above.

If you expand the linked record it says father Samuel Morse, mother Mary Morse. Do you think it is a different Samual and Mary that had this Abijah?
Im happy to look into it. Thanks for the heads up.
Abijah is NOT a child of Samuel and Ann (Lovewell) Morse. Their children are listed in the Needham records, not Sherborne. They have a child born Aug 1715 and another in Jun 1717, so he doesn't fit that way either.
This Samuel, alto he was born in Sherborne, lived in Needham. He lived in what was called the Needham Leg. Ill add that to his bio. to help clarify.
