Jesse was born in North Carolina in 1839 to Joseph Morton and Margaret Hatley. In 1850, the family was living in Stanly County, North Carolina.[1]
Jesse passed away in 1908. Burial was in the Bear Creek Primitive Baptist in Stanly County, North Carolina.[2]
