A Patriot of the American Revolution for VIRGINIA. [1] DAR Ancestor #: A208852

John Mosby, (son of John and Martha [Womack] Mosby), Henrico Co.; died 1801; married Lucy [Allen] and had issue:

1. William Mosby, of Henrico Co., died 1809; captain Continental Army three years (Land Office, Revolutionary Records, Book 2, p. 696, Warrant No. 5885); colonel Henrico Militia at time of Gabriel 's Insurrection; married 1784, Rebecca, daughter of Thomas Williamson, of Henrico Co., and had issue: Nancy W. Mosby, married William B. Chamberlayne.

2. Mary Mosby, married Nathaniel Sheppard.

3. Elizabeth Mosby, married Benjamin Sheppard.

4. Lucy Mosby, married Edmund James.

5. Susanna Mosby.

6. Hezekiah Mosby, of Henrico Co., married, first, June 1794, Elizabeth, daughter of Peter Winston; second, Mary Massie.

7. Ann (Nancy) Mosby, married Sept. 1786, Woodson Parsons, of Henrico Co.

8. Martha Mosby, married _ Allen.

9. Robert Mosby.

10. Joseph Mosby.

11. Samuel Mosby, of Richmond, Va.; Sargeant of Richmond, 1782; married 1794, Mary Anderson.
