Biography

John Raleigh Mott was born in New York in 1865. According to Wikipedia, "He received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1946 for his work in establishing and strengthening international Protestant Christian student organizations that worked to promote peace. He shared the prize with Emily Balch. He passed away in Florida in 1955.

Dr. John R. Mott is buried in the Washington National Cathedral, Washington, DC (Burial details: St. Joseph's Chapel, Nave Vault_. Burial was 7 February 1955.
