Tabitha (Mustain) Bruce was a Virginia colonist.
Tabitha (Mustain) Bruce was an early pioneer the Indiana Territory.

Tabitha A. (Mustain) Bruce was born in ~1766 in Pittsylvania, Virginia. Her parents were Thomas Solomon Averleigh Mustain (~1720 - >1791) and Mary Avery (Haley) Mustain (1722 - 1791).

Tabitha married James Bruce (~1761 - 1831) on 13 February 1782 in Halifax, Virginia, United States.[1]

In the 1840 census Tabitha was in Laughery, Dearborn, Indiana.[3]

Tabitha died in February 28, 1850 in Dearborn, Indiana aged ~83.[4]

  • A note on her father's profile Thomas Mustain indicates that she is referred to as "Tabitha Bruce" in his will. She married James Bruce and Thomas Bruce may be one of their children.
  • Pittsylvania County was formed in 1767 from Halifax County.

Mustain-117 and Mustain-31 appear to represent the same person because: This profile was connected to another family in Scotland, and obviously the result of an incorrect merge. No marriage in Scotland or reference to her can be found.
