John Wilhelm is the son of Christian Myer and Ann Geertruy (Theunyes) who immigrated from Germany to New York in 1710.
The first American born of his family, John was a member of Captain John Persen's company of foot in the militia of the corportation of Kingston in 1738.
John married Sarah Newkirk. The children of John and Sarah are: Christian, Christian (2), Altien, Henricus, Maria, Johannes, Petrus, Tobias, Leah, Benjamin and Samuel. [1]
