Friedrich was born on February 8, 1857 in the village of Hoffnungstal in the Akkermann district of the Bessarabian area and Black Sea region of South Russia to Georg Naasz and Margaretha Mueller. He was the sixth of their 13 children. Friedrich was baptized on February 14, 1857 and confirmed on April 9, 1872.[1][2][3]
Family
On November 20, 1880, at the age of 23, Friedrich married Rosina Schuh (1862-1944) in the nearby village of Klöstitz.[4][3]

Immigration
On June 15, 1889, at the age of 32, Friedrich, along with his wife and 2 children, arrived in New York aboard the S.S. Saale traveling from Bremen, Germany.[5]
Death
On April 6, 1937, at the age of 80, Friedrich passed away in Java, SD. He is buried in Saint Paul Cemetery in Java.[6][7]
