Biography

Margarita Maria Tavormina was born at Sciacca, Provincia di Girgenti, Kingdom of Sicily, "heri," at 1:00 p.m., 26 January 1753, daughter of Maestro Ignazio Tavormina and Giuseppa [Musso], and was baptized at San Michele parish, Sciacca, 27 January 1753; her sponsors were Antonina and Accursia Caracappa.[1]

Margaritam Tavormina, daughter of Maestro Ignazio Tavormina and Giuseppa Musso, married at Sciacca (Quartiere Matrice), 2 8bre (October) 1768, by Reverendo Sacerdote Don Giuseppe Ricci Capp.ni, Vitu d'Attardo, son of qm Aurelio Attardo and Antonina S. Angelo. The witnesses were Maestro Michele Cantone and Don Giuseppe l'Abene.[2]

Vito Giovanni Maria Attardo was born at Sciacca, 9 January 1740, son of Aurelio Attardo and Antonina [Santangelo], and was baptized at Matrice parish, Sciacca, 9 January 1740; his sponsors were Giovanni and Accursia Mino, pater et filia.[3] Vitus Attardo was buried at San Francesco cemetery, Sciacca, 11 May 1789, aged 60 [sic]: "Vitus Attardo ann: 60 annora etatis sue."[4]

The witnesses were Don Mario Dayna and Don Giuseppe Cucchiara.

  4. Anna Maria Attardo, b. "heri," 22 Aug. 1778; bap. 23 Aug. 1778; sponsors were Gioacchino Attardo and Anna uxor.
  5. Accursia Maria Felicia Attardo, b. "nocte," 2 Feb. 1781; bap. 2 Feb. 1781; sponsors were Mag.ro Calogero Attardo and Felicia soror Calogero. Accursia Attardo, ae. 5 mos., was bur. San Francesco de San Paola, 14 Aug 1781: "Accursia Attardo men: 5 f. Viti."
  6. Accursia Maria Gaetana Attardo, b. "heri," 10:00 p.m., 9 Aug. 1782; bap. 10 Aug. 1782; sponsors were Giuseppe and Sepia Cucchiara, frater et soror.
