Mary Ann Neale was born on 25 March 1844. She was the daughter of Thomas Neale and Alice Cater. She, along with her brother, Amos, and her sister, Sophia, was christened on 11 June 1848 in Bedworth, Warwickshire, England[1] just before sailing to Australia.
Her family were amongst the first Assisted Immigrants to arrive in Moreton Bay (Brisbane), aboard Artemisia on 13 December 1848. Mary Ann was 4 years old.[2]
On 18th July 1862, she married Robert Harvey.[3] They lived in the Drayton area, and had a large family.
She passed away on 15 May 1928,[4] aged 84 years, and is buried in the Drayton and Toowoomba Cemetery.[5]
