- Ruby was born in 1914, the daughter of Edd T. Nelson and Sallie Hidon, and passed away in 1999.
Obituary
- Ruby Risen, 85, died Wednesday at Caritas Medical Center. She was the former Ruby Nelson and a member of Calvary Assembly of God. Survivors: sons Louis K., Donnie and Gene Risen; a daughter, Shirley A. Ringo; a sister, Marie Hardesty; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, O.D. White & Sons, 2727 S. Third St. Burial: Bethany Memorial. Visitation: 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday. Memorial gifts: her church.
