Biography

Elizabeth Newhall was born in England about 1586[1] (or 1587 in Sherington, Buckinghamshire, England). Whether she was born in Sherington or Olney is uncertain, since family events for the Newhalls seemed to happen in both villages.

She was sister of Thomas Newhall (1638, Lynn) and Anthony Newhall (1638, Lynn).

She was married to Edmund/Edward Farrington on November 29, 1613 at Sherington, Buckinghamshire.[2]

Elizabeth (Newhall) Farrington died at Lynn, Essex, Massachusetts Bay Colony on December 15, 1678 (15 : 10mo : 1678). [3]

Their children were:

  1. Edward Farrington, mentioned in Edmund's will
  2. Thomas
  3. Sarah Farrington, baptized 5 Sep 1619, a passenger on the Hopewell[2]
  4. Matthew Farrington, baptized 12 Feb 1620/21, a passenger on the Hopewell[2]
  5. John Farrington, baptized 1622, a passenger on the Hopewell[2]
  6. Elizabeth Farrington, baptized 19 Sep 1624, possibly the same individual as Elizabeth, below.
  7. Elizabeth Farrington, born about 1627, a passenger on the Hopewell[4]

What sources show her parentage? She is sister to both Anthony Newhall (abt.1605-1657) and Thomas Newhall Sr. (abt.1594-1674) yet none of the reliable sources I have reviewed provide their parents names.

Doesn't she qualify for PGM status?
