Research Notes

Disputed Origins

It has been claimed that Grace Newton was the daughter of John Newton and Mary (Allerton) Newton, Mary being the granddaughter of the Mayflower passenger. More recent Mayflower data says that Allerton-Newton descent has been disproven.

Newton-14714 and Newton-163 appear to represent the same person because: Same year of birth and death date. Margaret was likely her formal first name and she was called by her middle name Grace. Parents are pending merges.
