Eighteen generations of our family tree appear in "Ancestors of Virginia Lavonne, Dorothy Louise, Greta Elberta, Dittman Becker, William Shelvy Jr, Genevieve Maxine, and Robert Dale Milbourn," Researched and compiled by Doris Nelson Sloan, 2004, 102 pages, in the possession of Leila Inez Niemeth Tweed
Leila grew up in the San Francisco Bay area and attended grade school in a small town, Petaluma, California. High School at Sequoia High School in Redwood City, as well as Woodside High School in Woodside, Ca., and South San Francisco High School in South San Francisco, C.
Oscar Niemeth and Genevieve Milbourn Niemeth raised their four children in the San Francisco Bay Area moving frequently to live close to Oscar as he was building his tugboat business, Oscar Niemeth Towing, Inc.
After marrying George Tweed and living in San Diego, we decided to move to the High Desert of California and run a glider port, El Mirage Soaring Center. In 1975, after several years of turning your avocation into your vocation we decided to move back to San Diego to raise our son, Kevin.
Leila is the grandmother of 2 beautiful grandchildren.
Growing up, I always had a camera in my hand waiting for a photo opportunity. I'm now bringing the past generational photos of our family into the visual stories to share with our next generation.
Writing your own bio seems to be the most difficult, --- so...to be continued ---

One or more photos you recently uploaded is a nominee to be our current Family History Photo of the Week. We'll feature the winner on the main WikiTree home page all next week and share it on our social networks. I assume you wouldn't mind having the photo featured like this, if it were to win. If for some reason you wouldn't want this, let me know right away and we'll remove it if you let me know before Friday. Also, it isn't necessary, but if you have any more information about the photo or the person,we would love to hear any stories or information that adds background. You can add the additional information in the comment box here underneath the photo. Thank you!
