Biography
Jean was the daughter of Alexander Nisbet and Katherine Porterfield. born 9 Feb 1679.[1]. Jean, married Alexander Gordon of Woodhall. [2] She died March 1763, aged 87. Confirmation was granted on Jean RELICT OF ALEXANDER GORDON ESQ., OF WOODHALL's estate on 3 Feb 1764 at Edinburgh Commissary Court.[3]

Claimed but incorrect -Alexander Gordon was born 1671 in Londonderry, Derry, Ireland, and died July 27, 1774 in Plainsfield, Ct. He married JANE NESBITT, (ERROR Jane daughter of ALEXANDER NESBITT and KATHERINE PORTERFIELD stayed in Scotland). She was born 1670 in Edinburgh, Scotland, and died May 14, 1744 in Plainsfield, CT.
Claimed- A branch of the Dirleton family, designated of Woodhill, settled in county Donegal, Ireland. probably a mix-up Woodhall/Woodhill
