Biography
When Shirley Jean Nordrum was born on November 1, 1926, in Princeton, Minnesota, her father, Arthur, was 30, and her mother, Mildred, was 29. She married James Wesley Swofford on April 29, 1944, in Long Beach, California. They had seven children in 13 years.
Shirley Jean Nordrum and James Wesley Swofford were divorced on February 2, 1984, in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, after 39 years of marriage. She was 57 years old.
She died on May 25, 1993, in Rush City, Minnesota, at the age of 66. Her Interment was held at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Nessel Township, Minnesota.
