Benjamin Nurcombe was born in 1827 in Wiveliscombe, Somerset, England. He was the son of Benjamin Collard Nurcombe and Sarah Wedlake. He was christened on 15 April 1827 in Wiveliscombe, Somerset.[1][2]
Benjamin was a stonemason. In 1871 the family were living in Watchet, Somerset.[5]
