Homer Pleasant O'Brien is the son of Joel O'Brien and Bell Williams. He was born on 20 Jan 1894 in North English, Iowa County, Iowa, USA.[1] He died on 14 Feb 1987 in Lebanon, Linn County, Oregon, USA at age 93, and was buried on 20 Feb 1987 in Mission Hills, Los Angeles County, California, USA.[2]

Homer married Marie (Kennedy) O'Brien, daughter of John Kennedy and Jane (Macdonald) Kennedy on the 28 of Jun 1921 in Sidney, Richland County, Montana, USA.[19] Her sister Jane signed her marriage license as the deputy clerk.[20][21] Their son, James, said they lived a "Gypsy" life after their marriage, traveling the states with Homer's brother Clarence and his wife Frances in an old Indian motorcycle with a side car, only settling down after he and his sister were born.[22]
