Biography

Gilbert O'Neal was born on September 27, 1815 in Clarke, Alabama, United States, son of Bridgers O'Neal (1776–1844) and Mary Hinton (1777–1840).[1]

Gilbert (21) married Caroline America Greer (17) (born about 1819) on February 9, 1837. Their son was Benjamin Franklin O'Neal (1838–1907).

In 1840, Gilbert (24) Oneal was living in Marengo, Alabama. [1]

In 1850, Gilbert (34) Oneal was living in Minden, Claiborne, Louisiana. [2]

Gilbert (39) married Catherine Barnes (20) (born in 1834 in United States) on January 18, 1855 in Grimes.[3]

Gilbert died on February 22, 1856 in Anderson, Grimes, Texas, United States, aged 40. His will was filed for probate 16 February 1856 in that county. [4]
