ORIGINAL ENTRY: John was born about 1772 and is the son of William R O'Steen and Elizabeth Davis. In 1787, he married Ada Weeks.

John Alexander O'Steen was a 1st Lieutenant in Major William Bailey's 451 Georgia Detachment during the Indian Wars. He died in 1842.
