Biography
Dorothy is the eldest child or Ichabod & Dorothy (Bates) Olmsted of East Haddam, CT.
She married Daniel Bulkeley (a/k/a Buckley) in 1764 and they had seven children:
- Daniel, b. 1766, d. 1840; m. Lydia Kilbourn
- Ichabod, b. 1769
- Eunice, b. 1772, d. 1846; m. Roger Foote
- Dorothy, b. 1774, d. 1776
- Oliver, b. 1776, d. 1827; m. Sophia Foote
- Joshua, b. 1776; m Harriet Olmsted
- Dorothy, b. 1780
Dorothy died in 1781 and is buried in the Colchester Burying Ground, New London County, Connecticut.[1]
Research Note
The 1912 Olmsted Genealogy carries the family name as Bulkeley. It appears as Buckley in some records.
