Biography

Annie (Oughtibridge) Tunstall was born in Lincolnshire, England.

Annie was born in 1850. She was the daughter of George Oughtibridge and Mary (Pidd) Oughtibridge, and was baptised on 23 June 1850 at St Oswald in Crowle. ^{[1] [2]}

Annie was living with the family in Crowle in 1851 ^[3] and 1861 ^[4] Her mother had died in 1858, when she was about 8 years old and her father had married again by this time to Mary Seaton. In 1871 she was living in Freehold Street, Leeds with her eldest sister Mary Ann Needham and her family. She has just recently given birth to her son Frederick William Oughtibridge. ^[5]

On the 8 October 1872 she married John Henry Tunstall in Scarborough. John was a Hotel Porter. He wasn't the father of her son Frederick. ^[6]

By 1881 the family were living in Ebden Street, Manchester and John was working on the railway. Annie's eldest son Frederick had taken on the name Tunstall and they now had 5 more children,^[7] and in 1891 the family had now moved back to Leeds, Ark Street, where John still worked on the railway. ^[8]

Annie passed away towards the end of 1899 in Bramley Leeds. ^[9]
