Prince Edward Co., VA, DB 2, p. 121b, 8 Jan 1759: “William Owen of P to Monford Dejarnett of P. £10. About 8 acres in P on the upper side of Mountain Cr, and bounded by (trees), and is part of a tract that was granted to the sd William Owen by John Owen. Wit: Richd Burks, Jesse Owen, Richd Perryman. Rec. Oct 13, 1762. Lucy, the wife of the sd William & Phebe Owen relinquished their right of dower to the conveyed lands.” [1]

Prince Edward Co., VA, DB 2, p. 118b, 7 Oct 1762: “William Owen of St. Patrick’s Parish in P, to Bracket Owen of same. £100. About 192 acres in P, bounded by the north side of Mountain Cr, George Stewart, John Nash. Wit: Richd Burks, Charles Adams, Jesse Owen. Rec. Oct 13, 1762. Lucy Owen, Betty Dejarnett, and Phebe Owen relinquished their right of dower to the conveyed lands.”[2]
