Hi John,

Thanks for having a Big Heart and adopting Orphan Profiles. You will want to read this After adopting orphans FAQ to understand what to do next and it explains the special attention those profiles need.

Hi John,

You are the manager of Arthur Jacob Runion (my grandfather) and Elizabeth Runion Wright (my mother)

I have most of the details you are missing - if you add me to the trust, I can add them

Hello Susan and thanks for contacting me. It looks like you merged him and are now manager of him which is fine with me. If not let me know and I will figure out how to do it.

Thanks William, not sure what she did but if you can check it that would be great. For my father also. Many thanks.

She didn't do anything other than comment on your profile that you have used DNA Confirmation makers on both your parents but you have not cited any evidence to support that. She gave you the link to the instructions on how to use DNA confirmation. After you have reviewed that, if you still need help, please let me know.

Under Bettie Jacobs formerly Jacobs you have some information on her Father Charlie Jacobs, I was wondering where that came from?
posted by Diana Smith
Please tell me where you got your information on Charlie Jacobs? I have searched for info and your info is not the same as mine.
posted by Diana Smith
Go to the page for him and ask again as I am not sure who you are talking about. My sources should be under source.

If you do not have ancestry I can get more info on him tomorrow for you. I can also give you name of provider if you want. Her husband is a second cousin to me 2 times removed. Pretty distant to say the least. Good luck and here to help if you need it.

John. Don L Richey -Richey-1690, that did the DNA test is my younger brother. I believe he is now a member as of today. We also have a sister, Sandra A, birth date Feb 14, 1940. I don't know if you have this info, since I am still learning how to navigate this system.
Good morning Lloyda and good to hear from you again. I see your brothers addition and I sent him an email offering help if needed. I have you also in Wikitree so I am going to request a merge. You will get an email asking if it is ok. you can make any changes but your info will still be private. The birth year I have for you is probably wrong as the 1940 census says you were 10 but if you were born in 1930 then you mother was 13 when she had you. I think census was wrong! I have added a few things to your fathers page. If you have any photos those would be a great addition for any of the family members. Let me know if I can help you in any way.

John, besides my name being misspelled in the 1940 census, the o being left out, my age would have been about 1 1/2, my birthdate being August 31, 1938. Am trying to figure out how to post pics, but no luck so far. Also, about 5 yrs ago, we found Gasper T's gravesite, so stop there every year. Have you been there? We have looked for GA's stone, even asking caretaker last year where it is with no answer. Is it the one next to GT's? In such poor shape, could not make out the name. It had tipped over last year. If we get to go this year(virus may not permit it), we will leave a floral stem as we do for all our family members, to let people know someone has been to visit them.
Hello there and I see you figured out the merge. You are really getting the hang of this site. To post a photo or scan go to images green tab on top of the page/person you want and click. Some wording will pop up and it says "click here to upload it". Then find your photo and click on it. I usually drag my photos to desktop as easy to find and delete when done. You do have to enter the source but if my photo I just say family photo. That should do it. Good luck and I know you can do it. As for Gasper A grave I know it is Linn Cemetery. Have you seen the photo of it so you know what to look for? My father was in Ft. Dodge several years ago for a high school reunion and he went to the cabin and graves while in Iowa. Would assume it is close to his father. Good luck and I hope this plague ends soon and we are all safe from it. I have been staying in pretty much but my wife is a nurse so she works with it several times a week. We just pray and keep fingers crossed it misses us.

Anyway, look forward to seeing your photos. Also, I did not add your sister so you can add her for practice. Smiles

Lloyda, Thank you so much for responding to my question about the photo. I think it is the one with a woman in the chair and three men with one holding a boy. Is that the right one? If so, and that is your line we must be related. Gasper Tarr Richey 1804-1882 is my 3rd great grandfather.

John Owen Tierra Verde, Fl,

That is the correct picture. Gasper is also my 3rd great grandfather. Sylvester Bone is my 2nd great grandfather. The picture would have been taken in late 1936 or early 1937. Our family is from the Dayton, Ia, Webster County area where Gasper settled when he came to Iowa.
Hello Lloyda again, Thanks and I think I finally have it figured out. If your brother was Daryl, he was my 4th cousin as follows so you would be the same.

Daryl and John are fourth cousins Daryl Richey and John Owen jr. are both descendants of Gasper Richey.

1. Daryl is the son of Lloyd George Richey [unknown confidence] 2. Lloyd is the son of Lloyd Sylvester Richey [confident] 3. Lloyd is the son of George Bone Richey [confident] 4. George is the son of Sylvester Bone Richey [confident] 5. Sylvester is the son of Gasper Tarr Richey [confident] This makes Gasper the third great grandfather of Daryl.

1. John is the son of John Darrell Owen Sr. [confident] 2. John is the son of Lulu May (Richey) Bailey [confident] 3. Lulu is the daughter of Levi G. Richey [confident] 4. Levi is the son of Gasper A. Richey [confident] 5. Gasper is the son of Gasper Tarr Richey [confident] This makes Gasper the third great grandfather of John.

I do not have info on you in Wikitree but assume you are listed in the 1940 census under Lloyd with your brothers and sisters. Think they spelled your name wrong and messed up on your age. My father, John Owen, Sr. was born in Ft. Dodge but left there after the war and moved to Dallas where I was born. I remember his mother Lulu Richey very well and cousins of his, Marilyn and Donn Richey. I went to Ft. Dodge many times to visit my grandmother before she moved to Arizona for health reasons. I lived the last 40 years in Nashville Tennessee with my wife and two daughters. I retired about 5 years ago and now live in Florida near Saint Petersburg. Love messing around with this genealogy and have found so many interesting family members over the years. So, Thanks again for the info on the picture and I will update my Wikitree site.

Hi John.

Just wanted you to know I've sent you an e-mail with some of the Details you've asked for. Hopefully it helps . I was just looking at your Tree here and have realized we also have Lyon, Brown and Evans in Our Trees. However, the Evans I have are through two of my Sons so you may be connected to them as well. Working together we will eventually be able to figure it all out.

Hi John,

Thank You for your e-mail. We are actually 16th Cousins 3xs Removed. We are both Descendants of John Throckmorton MP. He is your 18th and my 15th Great-Grandfather. The connection is actually through my Mom's side with my 8th Great-Grandfather , Francis Andrews. He seems to be my Connection to a lot of people here on wikitree. My Prince Ancestor Immigrated from Normandie , France in 1666. He settled in what was then Port Royal. Nova Scotia, Canada. I don't know if there is a connection there or not. Hope this helps somewhat. According to the Relationship Finder we have many Common Ancestors.

John, You have Adeline Black-12052 and Mortimer Black-12435 that are siblings and not connected. Noticed them working on Etowah County Ala Blacks.
