Corporal James R. Jones Promoted to be Sergt. Privates Ballou and Owens to be Corporals S.O. 35 Regt'l HdQurs.[3]
↑ Private Ballou's first name was Owen, so I wonder if Private Owens was promoted or if there was confusion about Owen Ballou as Ballou and Owens? Haven't found clear evidence of Private Owens' promotion to Corporal yet.
