Richard (John, Henry, Nicholas) son of John and Awdrye (Redding) Page was born at Wembley, Middlesex, England about 1556,; He married Frances Mudge (parents unknown) at London on 21 Nov 1594 . Richard died at Sudbury, Middlesex, England on 14 Mar 1639.
“Richard Page removed to Uxenden, in the Parish of Harrow, County Middlesex, England. He was living in1634. His will is dated 15 Aug., 1638, and was proved 6 Dec, 1642. He was married twice, but had no issue by one of his wives, probably the second. Both his wives died ante 1638. By one of-his wives, probably the first, whose name was Frances, he had ten children according to the 1911 text titled "The History and Genealogy of the Page Family from 1257 to the present", by Charles Nash Page. [1] Three of Richard's ten children are listed on pages 67 and 68.
The text suggests, wrongly, that Richard was the father of the John Page that emigrated to America n 1630 and founded the first Page family of America. Two articles written by G. Andrews Moriarty in the The New England Historical and Genealogical Register dispell that notion [2], [3]
Richard Page was however the father of Thomas Page whose 2nd son John went to America in 1650 and founded the Page families of Virginia. [4], [5]
Children
John Page, eldest son, lived at Middle Temple, London
Richard Page, m. Elmira Whitecliffe, had 6 children (unsourced)
Thomas Page, born at Uxenden, co. Middlesex, m. 1622 at Sudbury, co. Middlesex, had 2 children: John and Mary, both bapt. 28 Dec 1628. It was Thomas' son John that emigrated to America in 1650 and founded the Page family of Virginia. [4]
Alice Hearn was born in 1650, her marriage to Richard Page is not possible since he passed in 1639
Richard's attached children have not been proved, sources needed
"Colonial Chesapeake Families: British Origins and Descendants", Harrison Dwight Cavanagh, suggests death by 14 Mar 1649, however preview citation page does not reproduce.
perhaps more information about Frances Mudge is in the Cavanagh text.r
There are 17 possible baptism records at Family Search for children born at Middlesex, England between 1594 and 1614 with Richard Page as father. Associated record images are available at any FS family center, perhaps at Ancestry
It would be great if Robert Page could be tied to Richard's family, otherwise a brick wall has been encountered.
Original research notes follow:
“Richard Page, second son of the above-named John Page, and Awdrye Redding, his wife, was born at Wembley, about 1556, and removed to Uxenden, in the Parish of Harrow, County Middlesex, England. He was living in1634. His willis dated 15 Aug., 1638, and was proved 6 Dec, 1642. He was married twice, but had no issue by one of his wives, probably the second. Both his wives died ante 1638. By one of-his wives, probably the first, whose name was Frances, he had ten children.”

You have an incorrect marriage date for Richard and Francis; it is unlikely that they got married after having 4 children. Some say it was 30 Sep 1583.
This profile claims he married two different women on the same day. This is generating a database error. Can the profile managers please resolve this? Thanks.
