Biography

Sarah was born at Braintree, MA on born July 3, 1697,daughter of Deacon Moses and Mary (Pierce) Paine/Payne. [1] [2] [3] [4]

She married there on October 6, 1720, Samuel Adams. He was born on Jan. 28, 1694, son of Joseph and Hannah (Bass) Adams. [1] [4] [5]

She is mentioned in the will of her father Deacon Moses. [3]

Samuel died on July 17, 1751. [4] [5]

Sarah died June 23, 1777 [4] [5]. They are buried in the Hancock Cemetery at Quincy, MA. Her inscription reads: In memory of Mrs. Sarah Adams wife of Samuel Adams Who died June ye 2x 1777 in the 80 year of her age. [6]
