In the census of 1841 William (25) no place of birth given; Sarah (20); Fanny (3) b. Gloucestershire; and Ann (1) are living at Oak Street, Lechlade, Gloucestershire.
In the census of 1851 William Parker (40), Gamekeeper and Carpenter, b. Langford, Oxfordshire 1811, and Sarah Parker (35), b. Filkins, Oxfordshire were living at Keepers Lodge, Little Faringdon, Faringdon, Berkshire with Fanny (13) scholar b. Lechlade, Gloucestershire; Ann (11) b. Lechlade; Sophia (9) b. Lechlade; George (6) b. Langford, Oxfordshire; Elizabeth (3) b. Langford; and Jane (1) b. Little Faringdon, Oxfordshire. So there seems to have been a difference in the records, with Langford and Little Faringdon being classified either as Berkshire or Oxfordshire. George Parker's place of birth is given in a later census as Langford, Berkshire.
In the census of 1861 we have at Cottage, Alvescot, Witney, Oxfordshire: Sarah Parker , Head, Widow (45) b. Filkins, Oxfordshire, England; Fanny Parker , Daughter, Unmarried (23) Dressmaker b. Gloucestershire, Jane Parker, Daughter (11 )Scholar b. Little Faringdon, Berkshire, England William Parker Son (6) Scholar b. Little Faringdon, Berkshire.
William Parker, 45, married, carpenter, son George Parker, 16, carpenter, are in Horton Street, Bishops Cannings, Devizes, Wiltshire[2] Perhaps they were on a long-term contract.
In the 1871 census, at Pevensey Road, Eastbourne, Sussex, England we have: William Parker Head 57, carpenter, b. Langford, Berkshire, Sarah Parker Wife 50, b. Filkins, Oxfordshire Elizabeth A Parker Daughter 23 , general servant, b. Langford, Berkshire Jane Parker Daughter 21, general servant, b. Little Faringdon, Berkshire William Parker Son 16 , hop boy & carpenter, b. Little Faringdon Berkshire Also a visitor and two lodgers.
In 1881 William Parker 68, b. Langford, Oxfordshire, carpenter, and spouse Sarah are at Ashford Road 6 Victoria Terrace in the Eastbourne district.
William is said to have died in 1888.
