Biography

Mary was one of ten children born to James Patterson and his wife Mary. In 1758 she was married to John McKnight (or McKnaught) by the Reverend John Cuthbertson in Lancaster County "at Brown's."^[1]

Mary was mentioned in her father's 1791 will.

Mary died in 1825 in Greene County, Ohio, and is buried in McKnight Cemetery.^[2]

Research note

According to unsourced information at FindAGrave (which does not include a link to his memorial), Mary's husband died in 1801 in Virginia, where the family had moved before going on to Ohio.
