I have a family note that says that the father of Martha Patton Adams, my 4th G Grandmother, was a Thomas Patton (b. ~1740). Is there any evidence that the Thomas of this profile is Martha's father?

Patton-648 and Patton-647 appear to represent the same person because: You should merge these two first, then Patton-653 into 647, then merge 656 into 647. The merging always goes into to lowest numbered profile. Since you are manager of all 4 you can make these merges without anyone else approving.
