Biography

John was a Friend (Quaker)

Married his wife Abigail Mercer in the Kennett Monthly Meeting. They attended the New Garden Monthly Meeting after their marriage in 1809, and in 1814 they requested a removal from New Garden and a certificate of transfer to the Little Britain Monthly Meeting, which they were granted.
