Biography

When Jonathan Pearson was born on November 10, 1722, in Perquimans, North Carolina, his father, Peter, was 43 and his mother, Rachel Newby, was 32. He married Rebecca Elliott on June 4, 1745 in Perquimans, North Carolina and they had 12 children together. He then married Sarah Bogue, widow of Josiah Bundy and they had two children together. He died on April 22, 1784, in Wayne, North Carolina, at the age of 61. Jonathan was a member of the Society of Friends (Quakers).
