Biography

Anne (Peck) Mason immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).

Anne Peck, daughter of Reverend Robert and Anne (Lawrence) Peck, was baptized on November 18, 1619 at Hingham, Norfolk, England. [1]

She came to New England with her parents, her brother Joseph and her uncle Joseph Peck, settling at Hingham, Massachusetts. [1]

Anne married John Mason at Hingham, Massachusetts in July, 1639, as his second wife. [2]

They resided at first at Windsor, Connecticut, later moving to Saybrook in 1647 and to Norwich in 1659. [2]

In 1641, her parents and brother returned to Hingham, Norfolk, where her father resumed his rectorship. [1]

Reverence Robert Peck wrote his will July 24, 1651 and proved on April 10, 1658. In it he left bequests to the children of daughter Anne Mason, wife of Captain John Mason of Saybrook, Connecticut, among others. [1]

Anne died early in 1672. [1]

Her husband John died at Norwich, Connecticut between May 9 and June 6, 1672. [2]

Two of the daughters named Elizabeth Mason Yarborough should be removed, as they appear to be from an entirely different family ie. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Mason-10693 and https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Mason-9028.

Elizabeth the daughter of John and Anne, married James (2) Fitch and died in 1684.

I don't have that middle name in my tree, so I don't believe I uploaded it. Merry: should we delete?
