Biography

Charles dit Toc Pellerin was born about 1690. He was the son of Étienne Pellerin Jeanne Savoie.[1]

In 1693, at Port Royal, Charles, aged 3, was living with his parents, Estienne PELERIN, [sic], aged 46, and Jeanne SAVOYE [sic], aged 35, and his five siblings: Marie, aged 13, Pierre, aged 11, Anne, aged 9, Jean Baptiste, aged 8, and Bernard, aged 2. The family owned 1 gun and was living on 16 arpents of cultivable land with 15 cattle, 20 sheep, and 12 pigs.[2]

Charles (34) married Madeleine Robichaud (21) (born about 1703 in Port-Royal, Acadie; daughter of Prudent Robichaud and Henriette Petitpas) on 30 Jan 1725 in Annapolis Royal, Acadie. His father was deceased by this date. Witnesses were Baptiste Pellerin, brother of the groom and Germain Savoye, his maternal uncle.[3][4][1][5]Their known children were:

  1. Ursule Pellerin (1726–1797) .
  2. Marie Anne Hélène Pellerin (1729–1808) .
  3. Charles Pellerin (abt. 1731–1799) .
  4. Marie Madeleine Pellerin (abt. 1733–1812) .
  5. Pierre Pellerin (1737– ) .
  6. Joseph Pellerin (abt. 1739–1797) .
  7. Elisabeth Pellerin (abt. 1741–1812) .
  8. Marie Venerande Pellerin (1746–1816)

He died before the 1760 census.[1]
