Biography
He was a farmer and carpenter. Like several other members of his immediate family, he was born in Chatham County (North Carolina) but seems to have spent most of his life in Durham. His death resulted from chronic interstitial nephritis with hypertrophic prostate as a contributor. His burial was at Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery, Durham, North Carolina, United States.
