Benjamin (1751), a distant cousin, was born in Buckingham,Co, VA; s/o Phillip Pendleton & Spice Freeland. He was h/o a Coleman and spent his later years in Warren Co, KY.
N.B. There were two Benjamin Pendletons in colonial Virginia that resulted in numerous unsourced trees citing the wrong one as Frances's spouse. One born c1749 in Culpeper County, Virginia) and the second born c1751 in Buckingham County, Virginia), They had a common g[reat?] grandfather, Phillip I (b. 1654). Benj. (1749) has been documented as Frances's spouse.
Note: Benjamin's wife, Frances and a young son were kidnapped by Benge and Shawnee Indian raiders and never heard from again. His daughter was killed during that raid.
Biography
Benjamin was born about 1749 in Culpeper County, Virginia, the oldest of thirteen children and eight sons of William and Elizabeth Tinsley Pendleton.
After 1815 when he was in his mid-sixties, Benjamin died of unknown causes in Scott County, Virginia.
