Biography

According to the Family Bible record of Rachel and Micajah Pennington, Micajah Jr. was their second child and born on December 13, 1763 while the family were living in the area of Wilkes County, North Carolina that became Ashe County in 1799

As reported in the 1800 census Micajah Jr wa living in Morgan in Ashe County of North Carolina. He was listed as being 26 thur 44 year of age. There were two males being under the age of 10 years, there were 3 females under the age of 10 years and a female betweenn 16 and 25 years of age.

In 1830 it was reported that in the Western District of Virginia the household consisted of three persons Micajah being between 60 and 70 years of age and a female being between 15 and 19 years old and one listed as 60 to 70 years. During the 1840 census of the Western District of Virginia, he was reported as Mikajah Penington between the age of 60 and 69 years of age. There were two females recorded as living there also one 30 to 39 and one being between 60 and 69 years of age. On July 29, 1850 Micajah was 86 years of age, born in North Carolina and still farming. Living with him was his son Charles and family in Harlan County of Kentucky.

Benejah Pennington born the 15th day of July in the ye 1782.
