In memory of Mr. Thomas Perkins, who died Sept. 29th, 1773, in the 52d year of his age. When you come here to see my grave, Consider well and well behave; And keep God's holy Sabbath day, Spend well your time without delay.[5]

Probate

The will of Thomas Perkins of Bridgewater, gentleman was dated 13 March 1773 and proved on 1 November 1773 in Plymouth. He mentions his wife Mary, and his children, William Perkins (executor), Eoch Perkins (executor), Thomas Perkins, Theodore Perkins, Cyrus Perkins, Mary Perkins, Sarah Perkins, and Deborah Perkins. [6]

His inventory was taken on 8 November 1773 in Bridgewater.[7]

In 1775, Eliphalet Cary of Bridgewater was appointed guardian to his minor son, Cyrus Perkins.[8]

In 1788, his estate was set out to William Perkins, Enoch Perkins, Cyrus Perkins, Mary Perkins, Sarah Hudson, wife of Eli Hudson, and Deborah Perkins.[9]
