Fall Wedding Is Held in Raub Church
RAUB, Nov. 3-The Raub church was the scene of a wedding Sunday when Miss Eris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. O. Perkins, Raub, became the bride of Keith Purcell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Purcell, Sheldon, Ill. The altar was decorated with yellow and bronze chrysanthemums and autumn leaves. Miss Barbara Jean Wilhite and Mrs. Ralph McCormack furnished bridal music. Rev. McCormack read the ceremony.
Miss Perkins wore a gold, wool suit with brown accessories and carried tea roses. Her attendant, Miss Jean Bart, wore a forest green suit, brown accessories and yellow chrysanthemums. James Miller, of Lafayette, served as best man. Richard and Elman Perkins, brothers of the bride, and George Shonkwiler, a cousin, served as ushers.
Mrs. Purcell is a graduate of Raub Community high school. Mr. Purcell is a graduate of the same school and also of the Chicago Air school.
A reception was held at the Perkins home. The bridal party sat at a lace covered table centered by a three-tiered wedding cake. Crystal holders held white tapers and autumn leaves were used for decoration.
Mr. and Mrs. Purcell left Sunday for a short wedding trip to the southern part of the state and after Nov. 8 will be at home in Grand Rapids, Mich., where the groom is employed at the Hayes airplane factory.

Eris A. Purcell
Eris A. "Sally" Purcell, 71, died Wednesday at Continental Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Indianapolis.
She was born March 14, 1924, in Watseka, Ill. Her parents were Ira Owen and Lydia Ruth (Shonkwiler) Perkins. She married Keith Purcell Nov. 1, 1942, in Benton County. He survives. Other survivors include three sons, Richard D. Purcell of Indianapolis, Robert S. Purcell of Acton and Raymond C. Purcell of Danville; two daughters, Becky A. Sparks of Debary, Fla., and Ruth E. Koozer of Indianapolis; 20 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was employed by Rytex Corp. as billing clerk for four years.
She was a member of Bellville United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Paul Taylor will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Saturday at Wilson St. Pierre Greenwood Chapel. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. and noon to time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Washington Park North Cemetery in Indianapolis.
